iTipple — Privacy Policy

iTipple is a social drink check-in app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

Who we are

iTipple is developed by Mikael Jellby (Sweden), reachable at jellby@mac.com.

What we collect

Account: email (or Apple Sign-In identifier), nickname, optional avatar.
Check-ins: drink type, product name, optional brand, photo, rating, comment, optional venue (name + Foursquare place id), optional location (latitude / longitude), and time.
Social activity: friend connections, reactions, comments, and direct messages you send through the app.
Notifications: a device push token so we can send you notifications about check-ins, reactions, comments, friend requests and messages.

We do not collect: browsing history, search history, contacts, advertising identifiers, biometric data, health data, or financial data. We use no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

How we use it

Everything is used for App Functionality only — to operate the social features you signed up for. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or any form of tracking under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

Who we share it with

Supabase (our hosting backend, EU region) stores your account, check-ins and messages.
Foursquare Places API receives your coordinates only when you search for a venue, so we can return nearby places. No personal identifiers are sent.
Apple Push Notification service and Expo Push Service are used to deliver notifications. They receive a device token and the notification text.
Your check-ins, reactions, comments and direct messages are visible to the friends you have accepted in the app — no further sharing.

Where data is stored

Data is stored on Supabase servers in the European Union. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Push tokens are stored alongside your profile.

Retention & your control

You can delete any check-in directly in the app (the photo is removed too).
You can set check-in visibility per account (Always / 20 / 40 / 60 minutes) — expired check-ins automatically stop showing in friends’ feeds.
You can sign out from Profile, which clears the push token so notifications stop.
To request full account deletion (account, check-ins, messages, photos), email jellby@mac.com from the address tied to your account. We complete deletion within 30 days.

Children

iTipple is rated 18+ and is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Database row-level security (RLS) on Supabase makes sure only you and your accepted friends can read your check-ins and messages.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

iTipple är en social incheckningsapp för drycker. Vi tar din integritet på allvar. Denna policy beskriver vilken data vi samlar in, varför, och hur du behåller kontrollen.

Vad vi samlar in

Konto: e-postadress (eller Apple Sign-In-identifierare), smeknamn, eventuell avatar.
Incheckningar: dryckestyp, produktnamn, märke (frivilligt), foto, betyg, kommentar, plats (frivilligt — namn + Foursquare-id), koordinater (frivilligt) och tid.
Social aktivitet: dina vänkopplingar, reaktioner, kommentarer och direktmeddelanden i appen.
Notiser: enhetens push-token så vi kan skicka notiser om incheckningar, reaktioner, kommentarer, vänförfrågningar och meddelanden.

Vi samlar inte in: surf-historik, sökhistorik, kontakter, annons-identifierare, biometrisk data, hälsodata eller finansiell data. Vi använder inga tredjepartsannonser eller analysverktyg.

Hur vi använder datan

Allt används enbart för app-funktionalitet — för att driva de sociala funktionerna du anmält dig till. Vi säljer inte din data, och vi använder den inte för annonsering eller någon form av spårning enligt Apples App Tracking Transparency.

Vem vi delar med

Supabase (hosting, EU) lagrar konto, incheckningar och meddelanden.
Foursquare Places API tar emot dina koordinater enbart när du söker efter en plats, så vi kan visa platser nära dig. Inga personidentifierare skickas.
Apples push-tjänst och Expo Push Service levererar notiserna. De får din device-token och själva notistexten.
Dina incheckningar, reaktioner, kommentarer och DM syns för de vänner du accepterat i appen — ingen annan delning.

Var datan lagras

Datan lagras hos Supabase i EU. Foton lagras i Supabase Storage. Push-token lagras tillsammans med din profil.

Lagring & din kontroll

Du kan radera valfri incheckning direkt i appen (fotot raderas också).
Du kan välja visningstid per konto (Alltid / 20 / 40 / 60 minuter) — utgångna incheckningar slutar synas automatiskt.
Du kan logga ut från Profil, vilket tar bort push-token så notiser slutar.
För fullständig radering av konto (konto, incheckningar, meddelanden, foton), mejla jellby@mac.com från e-posten som hör till kontot. Vi avslutar raderingen inom 30 dagar.

Barn

iTipple är 18+ och inte avsedd för personer under 18 år. Vi samlar inte medvetet in data från minderåriga.

Säkerhet

Data under transport krypteras via HTTPS. Row-level security (RLS) i databasen ser till att enbart du och dina accepterade vänner kan läsa dina incheckningar och meddelanden.

Ändringar

Om vi ändrar policyn på ett betydande sätt uppdaterar vi datumet ovan och meddelar i appen när lämpligt.
